My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We rescued Betty Boop about a month ago, when we got a call from MCACC West in regard to an injured GSD that had come in. Betty was found on the side of the road writhing in pain and unable to walk due to a badly fractured leg - bone was actually sticking out through the skin. Even though we were strapped for funds due to all our medical dogs - we couldn't say no to this pretty young girl - watching her suffer was too much. So - Betty came in to the rescue and got surgery immediately. She is doing well - and will have another follow up visit in 3-4 weeks for xrays etc. to see how the bones are healing. We hope at that time she will be released for short walks and water therapy! She will not be available for adoption until we are sure of her medical status. Thanks to all of you who donated towards her care. Our You Caring for her medical needs is still open and if you wish to donate to her continued care (which when all said and done will be approximately $4,000) here is the link!

As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet & greets with an approved application! Here is the link:
