Gypsie is a cuddly, loving little girl, who is very fortunate to be alive. She caught a ride under the hood of a pickup, and when the pickup’s owner finally heard her cries, he rescued her from the hot engine. She had two or three burns, but has healed well and seems to have forgotten her ordeal. She likes nothing better than to snuggle with her person, although chasing a broom is near the top of her list of fun things to do. Gypsie is very close to another young cat who is fostered with her. She brings out the best in Lucky, who is also on Petfinder. Lucky is a bit shy, and Gypsie helps him to be brave! Oddly enough, her outgoing personality really bloomed when she was moved into Lucky’s area. Gypsie’s and Lucky’s foster mom would like to see them adopted together, but that is not mandatory. They were adopted into a family recently with a very noisy youngster and both cats were pretty traumatized. Because of that their foster mom feels that they will not adjust well into a family with small children.

If you think that I am somebody you would like to love, please email WAGS at wagsadoptions@aol.com to arrange to meet me.

WAGS adoption fee is $60.00 for cats and kittens.  The fee covers the spay or neuter surgery, up to date vaccinations and deworming. We have an adoption form that all potential adopters fill out. There is an informal interview conducted when you meet the cats, to determine what kind of home you will provide for a pet.

About Wagoner Animal Guardian Society

About Our Rescue Group...

WAGS is a very small group of volunteers dedicated to the rescue of homeless pets in our area. We offer trap/neuter/release services of feral cats. We are trying to accept those animals we can sucessfully adopt, as we prefer not to euthanize, although it is necessary at times. As we grow, we hope to offer more services to the surrounding communities.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets that are available for adoption are fostered with several families and also boarded at our participating veterinarian's clinic. Potential adopters may make arrangements to meet our pets by emailing us at WAGS@swindstream.net. Our email is checked daily, and inquiries will be answered as quickly as possible. We ask that our adopters be patient, we will get to their request as soon as possible with answers to questions and information on seeing the pet that they are interested in meeting.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees vary with the particular animal offered for adoption, the reason is that we often get animals in who have already been altered and are up to date on vaccinations and we are able to lower the adoption fee to reflect that savings. We ask adopters to fill out an adoption form with current information, and we do followup checks afterwards. Some animals we offer also require references to be adopted, that is always stated in the animal's description.
