Beans's Story...
Beans, Beans, the magical pup, once you hold me, you’ll never want to give me up! If I were an actual legume I would be in the navy bean family, but I would much prefer to be part of your family! I was just a little Bean livin' on the streets of Cali, lost with no garden to grow in. I don’t know if you are familiar with gardening, but it is really hard to grow a robust life without proper attention and love. I heard how fertile the Northwest was and had to make a change. So I uprooted myself in search of the one with the greenest thumb! I yield a pretty excellent bounty: I get along with other dogs and really love to play, I enjoy the affection of gentle kids, I am learning crate training, and I can even share my home with cats. You’re telling me you haven’t fallen in love with me already? Oh, you’re full of Beans! 1 year old-11lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beans, a Portland Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
