My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kai is now available for adoption! He is a 2 yr old male Shiba Inu who loves to cuddle! That is right! Kai LOVES to cuddle with humans! He'll fall asleep in your lap while watching TV. Kai was recently moved from Shiba HQ (to make room for more special needs dogs). Kai came to DC SIR with hairloss and allergies. He is thriving in our program!

Kai loves playing with toys and can play by himself for hours. But he loves it even more when a person plays with him. Kai did great with all the dogs at Shiba HQ but bonded to the females more. He is playful with other dogs and engages them in games. Kai can get snappy with other dogs if food is dropped. Kai did learn to wait patiently for his treats in group settings. Kai is very receptive to positive feedback and redirection. He loves attention and praise and will be a great best buddy to someone who is willing to put in the time to bond with him!
