Facts about Ulysses

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Ulysses is a grand name, but this fella lives up to it! Ulysses is a confident dude of a cat, but not too manly to ask for love and cuddles. He enjoys exploring and just perching himself on a cushion on the couch and waiting for you to visit. An older cat at about 11 years old, Ulysses is very special to our rescue group. We found him hanging around a disgusting empty lot in Harlem, near another cat colony, he was skin and bones. But he pepped up the moment we brought him inside, he even had a blast checking out the vet clinic where we took for his clean bill of health (check!). We found Ulysses a wonderful home with a young man--those two were total buds!--but sadly the man had to move in February and couldn't take Ulysses (he called him U-man!) Now Ulysses is in a short-term foster. He's melted his foster parents hearts, with his cuddles and goofy bouts of play (he's pretty fly for an older guy!), but he really needs a forever and ever home asap. Ulysses is cool with dogs--he'd be a great kitty buddy for your puppy! He's not so wild about other cats though. Please write if you think you could give Ulysses a loving home for his golden years.

About PuppyKittyNyCity

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of volunteers who help community cats and rescue friendly stray cats and kittens. We are also working on initiatives to help reduce animal abandonment in Upper Manhattan!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have many cats with fosterers located throughout the five boroughs but also frequently go to adoption events. Just shoot us an email and we'll arrange a playdate with any kitty!

Our Adoption Process...

We typically send you a contract. After you complete and return it, we check your references and if everything is clear, schedule a time to do a home visit and then unite you with your future kitty! We often ask for a small nominal fee to cover the cost of care for our cats.
