Sweetie Pie (The Pie Babies)'s Story...
Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present to you the most active, affectionate, and utterly adorable quintuplet: the Pie Babies. These kittens were born in foster care on 1/21 to a momma cat who was rescued first from the harsh life as a stray and then from the pound; the Pie Babies were born the morning after she was brought into foster care. Now eight weeks old, Cutie Pie, Pinkie Pie, Honey Pie, Tweetie Pie, and Sweetie Pie are very healthy and highly social little guys. As soon as you open the door, all five kittens race to greet you - Honey Pie always in the lead - and all five bodies fill with a rumbling purr when stroked. They sit on your lap and enjoy being petted and held for a few moments - and then they're off again chasing, wrestling, pouncing, climbing, and generally acting like little monkeys. They must be adopted in pairs. They can't wait to find their forever homes and it might be with you. Please apply online (applications only, please do not email or call).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweetie Pie (The Pie Babies), a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
