Ryker is a male Schnauzer/Yorkie mix only 1 year old. He is a short, stocky boy weighing a solid 19 pounds full grown. Ryker has a soft silvery gray coat of long wavy fur that is non-shedding. Unfortunately his entire coat had to be shaved due to severe matting upon his arrival to the rescue. His beautiful coat will grow out long in no time. Ryker loves other dogs and will easily make friends wherever he goes. He usually identifies one "pal" that he hangs out with, follows around, snuggles with, and plays with. He would be wonderful for someone who is looking for a trusty buddy for their current dog. Ryker is a sensitive, tender-hearted dog that we think may have been mistreated in his young life. He is very submissive with people and shy at first. Once you gain his trust he is interactive and happy, with his tail wagging and exploring his surroundings with eager puppy curiosity. He loves treats and the way to his heart is definitely through a tasty morsel. Ryker walks easily on leash and rides silently in the car. He is very obedient in the home and will hang out in a doggie bed nearby if nothing is going on. He wants to please and do the right thing. Ryker is just starting out in life and is innocent of the ways of the world. He will thrive in a home where he has consistency, lots of gentle love, and where he can relax and be himself. Ryker was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter. He is healthy and robust and ready for his new forever home today!
Ryker’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Ryker is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Sharon and is ready for his forever home.
