Ellie May's Story...
Ellie May is a 3 month old Black and Tan Coonhound pup that was picked up as a stray and is safe in her new foster home, Since she arrived, she has demonstrated that her personality is 10 times larger than her size! Ellie loves all of her foster brothers and sisters and isn't intimidated by their size. Ellie loves to follow her foster mom down the long driveway every evening to check the mail and sticks close to her side. If she wanders farther ahead, she is quick to stop and wait for mom to catch up. She is doing great with crate training and will let her family know when she needs to go outside. Ellie is a very smart puppy and she would be a great addition to any family looking for a special hound of their own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie May, a Dallas Black and Tan Coonhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
