Meet Petey!

Is a super sweet boy, he’s a lap dog who loves to cuddle & loves hugs. He is also very ADD & gets distracted by the simplest things. He always wants to be around someone whether its cuddling up next to you or playing with a dog friend. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He’s one of the few dogs that doesn’t get stressed out at Petsmart for our adoption day because he loves all of the attention. Petey came to us when he was found tied to a tree, who knows what else he was put through by the people who left him there. Luckily he didn’t let any of that sway his wonderful personality!! Petey is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, approximately 2years(2016) & approximately 60lbs. He would do best in a home without any cats & thats active as he is.Please consider opening your heart & home to Petey.

If you would like more information on this dog please contact APAWS at info@apawspets.org. If you would like to begin the adoption process and fill out an application please use our online application available here: http://www.apawspets.org/dog_application.html.

About Animal Protection and Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A.P.A.W.S. (Animal Protection And Welfare Society) is an all volunteer group of people who are dedicated to ensuring that all pet animals in and around the South Louisiana area live in homes which provide for all of the animal's physical and emotional needs (including daily maintenance, medical care and nurturing) for the animal's lifetime.

Some volunteers provide food, shelter and love in their homes to cats and dogs who have been injured, abandoned or thrown away. Others help by transporting the animals to veterinarian appointments, volunteering on Adoption Days, participating in fund raising activities, mailings, publicity efforts and public education. Because we receive no external funding, we rely on fund raising efforts and donations to fund our efforts.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We will have cats, dogs, puppies and kittens available for adoption
at PetSmart off of Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA. Every SATURDAY from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Our Adoption Process...

An application for adoption is required. Once the application is approved a legally binding contract is signed and an adoption fee is paid.
