Meet Junior Junior is a Chihuahua/min pin mix. He came to us with a broken leg and had a very rough start, but we've gotten him all happy and fixed up. Junior loves being held, attention, being pet, toys people, dogs, cats, treats and everything!!! Junior does have some issues with his knees. We have been to the vet multiple times and surgery is not suggested, but we would prefer he does not go to a home with young children because he can't play as rough as he would like to play. Other than that he gets to eat these treats made to help joints and seem to be doing really well on it. Junior is small, house trained, lovable, up to date on shots, neutered and waiting for the perfect home. If you would like more information on this cat please contact APAWS at info@apawspets.org. If you would like to begin the adoption process and fill out an application please use our online application available here: http://www.apawspets.org/cat_application.html.

About Animal Protection and Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A.P.A.W.S. (Animal Protection And Welfare Society) is an all volunteer group of people who are dedicated to ensuring that all pet animals in and around the South Louisiana area live in homes which provide for all of the animal's physical and emotional needs (including daily maintenance, medical care and nurturing) for the animal's lifetime.

Some volunteers provide food, shelter and love in their homes to cats and dogs who have been injured, abandoned or thrown away. Others help by transporting the animals to veterinarian appointments, volunteering on Adoption Days, participating in fund raising activities, mailings, publicity efforts and public education. Because we receive no external funding, we rely on fund raising efforts and donations to fund our efforts.
