Meet Huey

Huey and his two brothers(Louie & Dewey), were found on Airline Highway scavenging for food. The vet thinks that they hadn't been touch by human hands until they were captured. Now Huey and his brothers know what good food and love is and you can't peel us off. Huey is a very sweet dog and really just wants someone to cuddle and play with forever. He'll need someone to be patient with but once he bonds, he's yours forever. Huey is house trained/kennel trained, microchipped, neutered, approximately 10years old(2016), and he's current on vaccinations. Huey wouldn't do well in a home with cats. Please consider opening your home and heart to Huey.

About Animal Protection and Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A.P.A.W.S. (Animal Protection And Welfare Society) is an all volunteer group of people who are dedicated to ensuring that all pet animals in and around the South Louisiana area live in homes which provide for all of the animal's physical and emotional needs (including daily maintenance, medical care and nurturing) for the animal's lifetime.

Some volunteers provide food, shelter and love in their homes to cats and dogs who have been injured, abandoned or thrown away. Others help by transporting the animals to veterinarian appointments, volunteering on Adoption Days, participating in fund raising activities, mailings, publicity efforts and public education. Because we receive no external funding, we rely on fund raising efforts and donations to fund our efforts.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We will have cats, dogs, puppies and kittens available for adoption
at PetSmart off of Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA. Every SATURDAY from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
