Allie's Story...
Allie is about 18 months of age, weighs 69 pounds. She is a real beauty! She LOVES people, all people! And she rides very well in a car. We believe Allie would be fine in almost any home provided that her new family be committed to providing her the basic obedience training that her fomer owner failed to give her. She has some mouthiness when playing and doesn't seem to know how big she is so caution would be advised with small children and little dogs just because of the size difference. Allie has been introduced to a cat for testing purposes and did ok, however might chase a cat if it runs (as would most any dog).

Allie came from a humane shelter when her 'time was up'. We have no history on her prior to this because she was dropped off anonymously in the overnight drop off kennel.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a Pike Road German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pike Road, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Pike Road.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pike Road already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pike Road breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pike Road paves the way for another one to be saved.
