This is Jack Daniels, he is a little over 1 year old. Jack has some fears of people and takes a bit of time and work to warm up but once he does he's a wonderfully loyal dog. Jack is house trained and knows his basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. He also knows how to shake and high five. He is a bit strong on the leash but he is getting better and better at it each day. His favorite toy is a tennis ball and he could play fetch with it for hours! He also loves tug ropes. Jack would do best in a home without children around and without a lot of people coming in and out because of his nerves and the amount of time it takes him to trust people, he needs a calm environment. We are working on getting him used to people and he has made some serious progress, but the work would need to continue at his forever home. Jack gets along well with other dogs and he doesn't have any interest in the cat at his foster home. Jack would do best in a home with a calm atmosphere and time to play. He will continue to need help working on his trust issues when he goes to his forever home, but he would love to have a chance to prove what a great dog he is and how loyal he can be. Please email email@example.com if you have any questions or would like to meet Jack!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
