Jesse's Story...
Jesse & Wyatt are both typical 9 week old playful pups who follow you around and tackle each other on a regular basis. Wyatt is a little more eager to explore new things than Jesse. Jesse tends to wait for Wyatt to check things our, then he will join in on the fun. Both liove being held & snuggled.

Jessie and his 5 littermates were rescued June 19, 2008 from the Shelby County Humane shelter after their owners gave them up because they didn't want to deal with the puppies. The owners said they own both parent dogs and that they are full blooded shepherds.

This puppy will not be available for adoption until after his neuter surgery. However, GSRCA is taking applications now. Neuter surgery is tenatively scheduled for August 14th. At that time he should be ~ 12 weeks old.

This dog is crate trained, spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and HW negative. Adoption application, home visit, and $350 adoption fee are required.

Please read our adoption requirements on our home page. Many of your questions can be answered here. We welcome your phone call, but for a faster response, it is best to email us your specific questions.

After reviewing GSRCA’s adoption process, please fill out the application completely. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS CANNOT BE PROCESSED! This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until the application has been received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jesse, a Pike Road German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pike Road, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Pike Road.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pike Road already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pike Road breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pike Road paves the way for another one to be saved.
