My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Maxy and I am a very special young lady that is in search of a home and family that will give me the love and attention I deserve. My mother, siblings and I were dumped at a shelter when I was only 4 months old. A nice local rescue saved us from an unknown future. My mother and sister found new homes of their own but, I was left behind. Not because I was a bad girl or anything like that, it was because I was not well at the time. The doctors ran tests on me and found what they call a heart murmur, caused by a hole in a major valve to my heart. The heart doctor (cardiologist) said that I should never plan on being a jogging or agility dog, unless I had surgery to fix the problem. My rescue moms promised me they would make sure that I would be fine. After heart surgery was done, I was well enough to be spayed and finish all of my vetting (shots, micro chip, heart worm prevention). I am now 6 months old and tip the scale at 15 lbs. of pure love. I donÂ’t need any special attention, as I am all better now. I just need a home and family that will continue to let me grow and flourish as all puppies need to. I am good about going potty outside, enjoy my crate and donÂ’t mind riding in the car. A re-homing fee is being asked and will be used to help other dogs like me that are in need.
