Rocky's Story...
Rocky is a 3-year-old neutered Australian Shepherd mix that is in search of a forever home. This outstanding pup just wants a family that is willing to spend time with him running, playing and showing him as much love as possible. Rocky loves all people big and small and appears to get along great with other dogs. Cats are an unknown at this time. He is housetrained, walks well on a leash and enjoys riding in the car. He is current with his shots, wormed, on heartworm prevention, and micro chipped. If you would like to have this fun loving affectionate boy visit with you in your home for a couple of days, please call 469-698-8898 for an application and to make arrangements to meet him. A re-homing fee is being asked and will be used to help other rescue animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Lavon Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Lavon, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Lavon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lavon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lavon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lavon paves the way for another one to be saved.
