Ryan's Story...
Meet Ryan a three-year-old neutered Miniature Australian Shepherd (54lbs) in search of a new forever home. He is an extremely affectionate pup that is house and crate trained, walks great on a leash and loves to ride in the car. Ryan loves everyone (big and small) and gets along great with other dogs (that donÂ’t want to be alpha dogs) and cats as well. He is current with his shots, on heartworm preventative and micro chipped. Upon adoption, Ryan will be sent home with an extra six month supply of Heartgard. If you would like to spend some time getting to know this wonderful dog better, please call 972-475-6555 to arrange a time. A re-homing fee is being asked and will be used to help other rescue animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryan, a Lavon Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Lavon, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Lavon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lavon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lavon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lavon paves the way for another one to be saved.
