Barkley's Story...
1 year old neutered ACD/Heeler mix

BARKLEY

This very sweet year old neutered ACD/Heeler mix was originally rescued from a local park after being dumped and forced to fend for himself.  We took him into rescue and found him a new home he thought he could call his own.  After 10 months of being in a home with a family, his owners decided they just didn’t understand the breed and didn’t want to so, Barkley has now found himself back with our rescue.  He is a wonderful, sweet and loving young boy that appears to be house trained, walks just fine on a leash, doesn’t mind riding in the car, and enjoys being outside just as much as being inside.  He loves everyone (big and small) as well as other canines.  How he is around cats is unknown at this time.  Barkley is current with his shots, wormed, micro chipped, and on heart worm protection.  If you would like to meet this wonderful pups, Please call 469-698-8898 to make arrangements.  A re-homing fee is being asked and will be used to help other rescue animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barkley, a Lavon Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Lavon, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Lavon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lavon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lavon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lavon paves the way for another one to be saved.
