Lucy's Story...
AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding area.

Hi, my name is Lucy. I am a Pitbull mix. I love car rides, walks and snuggling with my Foster family. I do live with another dog, but I am quirky and sometimes not nice to him. I would do best in a home with no other animals. I do like other dogs, but am very fickle about who my friends are. If you live alone and want a companion to keep you company and to go on walks with, I am your dog. I really love it when my foster family takes me on hikes, or to the beach. I can ride in the car for hours. I am a very manageable 38 lbs. and don’t take up a lot of room! I love to hang out in the yard. If you have room in your heart and home for a pup who will give you nothing but love, please give me a chance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Richmond American Pit Bull Terrier/French Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/French Bulldog for sale in Richmond, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/French Bulldog dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/French Bulldog breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/French Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
