Meagan is a 10-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua mix. This precious gal is unbelievably sweet and can't wait to find her new best friend. Meagan is mellow, polite, and totally easy-going. She'll happily trot from room to room following you around, and you'll make her day when you stop to pet her. She is a total love bug, happy to sit quietly in your lap and give you kisses. She's great on walks and friendly, but not overly so, to strangers. She rarely barks and can be left to roam free at home, curling up for a nap while she waits for you to return. Megan is house-trained as long as she has ready access to the outside, and she's comfortable using a doggie door. She likes to go out first thing in the morning and after waking up from a nap. Meagan gets along with other dogs, though she does like to have her personal space (and personal attention from you). She gets along with cats, too, unless they're skittish. Timid kitties bring out the chase in little Miss Megan, though she's not much of a threat. She only has two remaining teeth after having a dental done by our veterinarian. This doesn't impact anything other than her needing to have soft food.Meagan was adopted from a shelter in 2007 but sadly found herself back at the Salinas Animal Shelter after being picked up as a stray again. Her microchip was a dead end and now this darling dog is back in need of a forever home where she's truly appreciated. She is going to make someone very lucky. She's just a kind little soul looking for a new family.
