10wk tov homo beige chinchilla's Story...
We have a homo beige TOV male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. He came to NWI just a bit ago and we estimate he was born around 1/3/16. This makes him right about 10 weeks old – now’s a great time to take him home and make him part of your family!

He is a homo beige TOV chinchilla, so he is the lighter of the two beige colors, and the TOV gene gives him a bit darker veiling on top. We think he’s just an awesome color, and just look at him – cute as a button! We think he looks like a teddy bear with those tiny little ears!

He’s a fun chinchilla to have around. He can sometimes be a bit energetic in his cage, but settles down right when you get him out and hold him. He would probably love playtime when he is old enough (6+ months) as he is very curious and loves to explore. He’s a very sweet, adorable boy. He does well with being handled and petted. Definitely not afraid of people – he kept coming up way too close to the camera when I was taking pictures – very outgoing. Very sweet boy, doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla would make a good “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet, fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire, and provide proof of cage. If you are unwilling to do these things, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). Sorry, but we do not ship.

This homo beige TOV male chinchilla is $225 to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

10wk tov homo beige chinchilla, a Hammond Chinchilla was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinchilla for sale in Hammond, or seeking a Chinchilla from a breeder in Hammond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hammond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hammond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinchilla breeders who help with Chinchilla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hammond paves the way for another one to be saved.
