Oscar's Story...
Meet Oscar, part of the Lil' Rascals: Oscar, Pearl, Sophie, and Frankie. The Lil' Rascals were born to a teenage mother in a feral colony in West Toronto. They were set to become another statistic until one day a kind lady rescued them from life on the streets. The Rascals are still scaredy cats when approached, but are total sucks when picked up and petted.

Oscar is the ruff and tumble leader of the gang. This little black fluff ball loves to rough-house and is the largest of the littler.

He might only be a few weeks old but he thinks he's one of the big boys, eating from the big cat bowl and not the kitten dish. Lucky for him the big guys let him eat first!

DOB May 16, 2008

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Toronto Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
