Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JJ was found stray up in Crocket and came to the big city to find a new home. This handsome boy already had heart worms though he was barely past his first birthday! At 14 inches tall, he is a slender 22 pounds. He is all healthy now and ready to be converted into a plump beagle boy!
JJ is a great pack member. He enjoys spending time with his buddies as they explore the yard and patrol for invading varmints! JJ is generally quiet when out in the yard. He will let loose with a good bay when he spots a squirrel on the ground or catches the scent of a rabbit! It was hard keeping this boy quiet during treatment. He enjoys all the beagle games and missed playing with his friends. JJ’s house manners are good. He quickly learned not to mark in the house and uses the dog door without any problems. He is not fond of being crated, so will need work on that. He is never destructive but is a thief. He loves stealing towels, underwear, shoes, blankets, etc. He can be very quiet and sneaky about it so you don’t even notice it is gone until you reach for it! His best heist was a long sleeved shirt. We hunted for two days without any sign of it until he brought it through the dog door one morning from where he had buried it!
The flip side of this wonderful guy is his sweet and loving nature. JJ loves to cuddle and will give you the best kisses you have ever had. He sleeps most nights on a dog bed but will occasionally sneak up the sleep next to you. He is a great dog and all beagle! He will keep you on your toes and laughing for years. He needs to have an active family who will be around to give him lots of attention and canine buddies to paly with.
