Avon's Story...
Avon is a gorgeous misunderstood baby. She need a home that will give her plenty of time to be herself. Her life started out rough so she is a little nervous, and scared of people at first but will come around with time. If you think your home is the right one and are not expecting a lap cat in the beginning she is the cutie for you. She loves to sleep in bed with you. Does good with dogs and gets used to other cats quickly. Please go to www.forrescue.net to fill out an application if interested. Avon has been spayed, microchipped, examined by a vet and given up to date vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $25.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Avon, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
