Oreo's Story...
Meet Oreo!

Oreo is a super fun, playful, acrobatic and curious black and white kitty. He is 11 mos old, neutered, microchipped and has his first set of shots.
Oreo and his sister Cookie had a less than fun start in life. They were mistreated in their prior home till someone came to their rescue and contacted Duncan’s Place. Despite that treatment, both kitties are very affectionate once they learn that you won’t harm them (which is fast!) It will just require some patience on your part till they know you are safe.
Oreo loves to run around, interact with both other kitties, and is getting used to small dogs in his foster home. He also loves kids and has been around children ages 7 and up. He’d be fine around younger children also. He will sleep with someone (he usually chooses the 12 yr old boy) every night and finds the most secluded hiding places when he so chooses! He also like to leap up on the highest cabinet, cat tree, or platform that he can find.
While Oreo and Cookie were raised together they don’t necessarily need to be adopted together as they are pretty independent of each other half the time. Oreo will acclimate quite fast to whatever his new home make up is. Cookie will take a tad longer but it won’t be too difficult for her as she loves human company.
If you are looking for a mostly well mannered, super fun, athletic kitty, Oreo might be your guy. Contact Duncan’s Place to meet him in his SW Loveland foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a Loveland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Loveland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Loveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
