Please read the entire ad prior to contacting us. Please include the information that is asked for our we will not respond. Everything you need to know about this dog and adopting from us is listed in this ad. If you do not hear back from us by EOD please check your spam folder & you may also email us directly via or via our web site Thank you

This perfect itty bitty Staffy was abandoned at her vet's office by her former family and we cannot figure out why. She is the sweetest, most loving pup around. She is perfect with other dogs of all sizes, indifferent to cats, loves children, just an all around amazing gal. She is happy going jogging with you or sitting on the couch watching your favorite shows. She does very well when left alone while you work and would be great for an apartment or a house.

We are by appointment only & only after verification. If you are not willing to be verified prior to meeting the dog you're interested in, then we do not feel you are best suited for one of our dogs. Serious adopters have no issues being verified for the safety of the dog.

Please tell us about yourself, family, lifestyle, other pets, children. Make sure to include a contact number. Puppies under four-months-old are available for transport at the adopters expense via United Airlines ONLY. We do not ship our dogs over four-months-old, you must come to our location in Sylacauga AL 35151 to meet them & for us to meet you. At that time we will go over all training of your new dog so, please plan on being here a minimum of one hour.

1) We require a letter of reference from your veterinarian or their information for us to contact them for a reference. If providing the reference from them we are looking for: Current pets are altered, on HW prevention, flea prevention, received Rabies vaccination, and all medical they may have needed as advised by your vet. It must be on company letterhead as we will contact them to confirm.

2) A video tour of your yard/fence/common areas of your home to make sure suitable for the dog you are inquiring about. Please email to us at

3) A copy of your DL, Passport, Visa

4) Contact number

5) Link to your social media accounts (FB, Twitter, Instagram) We are not going to post to your social media this is strictly part of screening as you can tell all about people via their online presence.

Our screening process is not negotiable, it is set in place to protect our dogs, you the general public, & your current pets & children. If not willing to provide all of the information to ensure the safety of the dog you are inquiring about then please do not waste our time contacting us. If it states the dog cannot be placed with other dogs, then no other dogs, your dog is not the exception just because your dog is friendly & loves everything. While we do not place aggressive dogs back in the general public, we give them sanctuary, not all dogs can peacefully live in a home with another dog. All dogs over six-months-old have been with us for a minimum of 30 days prior to being considered for adoption. All puppies under six-months-old have been with us a minimum of 14 days to insure free of contagious disease.

Our adoption fee's are nonnegotiable. The adoption fee does not come close to covering the care of the dog while with us however, the fee goes towards helping the next dog in need. If you cannot afford or are unwilling to pay the fee listed for a fully vetted, fully trained dog then you are not the home we are looking for, for one of our dogs.

All of our dogs come crate trained, leash trained, basic obedience trained, & are house broken. The exception is young puppies that are working on housebreaking. We do not teach puppies to puppy pads as I have never understood the concept of teaching any dog that the house is a bathroom. We back our dogs for life & will provide free training for them at our location if a behavior issue occurs, even 10 years from date of adoption. They are UTD on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (exception is puppies under four-months, they go out with a voucher to be altered & if not done so by four-months we void the contract and take the puppy back), microchipped. They are HW- and on prevention for HW's as well as flea & tick medication. In the event they are HW+ (the ad will state if so) we provide all medication to treat plus cover all medical related to until such time they receive two negative test results. HW treatment is noninvasive & simply giving oral medication cures the disease, it is nothing like it use to be.

All of our dogs are on a raw diet, we do not use commercial dog food and we cannot recommend it. It is all bad for dogs, all of it, no matter what it cost it is killing dogs. Just Google the rendering process from which dog food is made. We strongly encourage our former dogs to remain on raw. It is very easy, cheaper than a high end grain free, & will keep your dog healthy & he/she will live years longer.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie (SoSo), a Sylacauga American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Sylacauga, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Sylacauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sylacauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sylacauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sylacauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
