Facts about Buddy

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix

  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Meet Buddy, an 8 month old Pit/Shepherd mix. Buddy was abandoned in a trailer park and someone living there tried to find who he belonged to but evidently they moved out and left him behind. Buddy has been neutered and current on his shots and weighs about 42 pounds. He does have some growing to do so he may be around 50 pounds or so when full-grown. Before we were able to take him in, he was living with other dogs and cats so we know he has been around other animals. Buddy is quite strong so would do best with kids about 10 and older. He seems to be a pretty nice dog just a little rough around the edges right now until he gets some one on one work. He would do best in a home with older kids and must have a fully fenced in yard. He has a lot of energy and needs a yard to run around in. He will not be adopted to an apartment nor a mobile home due to not having a fenced in yard or yard in general. Buddy's adoption fee is $200.00.

About Best Buddy Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Who We Are
Best Buddy Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to save as many dogs and cats as possible. We are a foster based rescue, which means we do not have a shelter and that the volunteers/foster parents are what makes this rescue continue to exist. We have very talented and outgoing foster parents who are constantly helping to improve the lives of the animals.

Where Do the Animals Come From?
We rescue animals from high kill animal shelters, over-crowded humane societies, and owners who no longer can take care of their animals. Most of the animals we take in to our program do not come vetted nor spayed/neutered. We fully vet and spay/neuter all pets depending on their ages.

Our Promise
Best Buddy Pet Rescue strives to find homeless and abandoned dogs and cats a nice, safe, and lovable home where they can start over. We give all dogs and cats the chance to adjust and transform into a great companion and family member! Our foster parents are well equipped and educated on how to help all dogs and cats transition from their old life into a new and happier life. We promise that all the dogs in our program are happy in their foster homes and are continually improving every day.
