Coco's Story...
Coco (tan) & Chanel (Red) are 2 year old sister chis that were pulled from Santa Rosa shelter after finding themselves on death row simply because they were scared. They were dumped at the shelter as part of a hoarding situation and had very little human interaction before coming into our rescue. They have gone into separate foster homes and are thriving. They have gone from not wanting to be touch to laying in your lap in just 3 days. They are still a little nervous but their personalities are coming out more each day. They are good with other dogs and cats. Because they are timid we would recommend them for a home with small children. Perfect for a calmer house hold that's wanting a lap baby. They are starting to learn house and kennel training. They are utd, hw neg (tested below detect levels) and will be spayed on 3/23.

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Grand Bay Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
