Fletcher's Story...
Hi y'all, its me, Fletcher. I'm kind of a southern 3 year old dog. I can run when I feel like it, but I would much rather sit on the porch swing with my head in your lap. I'm from Texas, unfortunately they didn't feed me as well as they do their cows. So I'm still a little skinny, not as skinny as before. My new foster home let me eat until I figured out the food wasn't going anywhere so you cant see my ribs anymore. Speaking of which I LOVE Texas style ribs and fruit oh, but watch me around that Chocolate cake from Costco. Oh my goodness don't leave me alone in a room with that. That is my favorite. And don't put your fingers in the way of it.

I decided to be crate trained. Its a great place to sleep since the other 5 dogs take up all the other spots. So its like my own room. I love playing with all the other dogs in the house. So much that you shouldn't leave me here. I might not ever want to leave. And trust me I would rather be somewhere I can dig in and call home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fletcher, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
