Clipper's Story...
Clipper is a lucky boy and so appreciative that he is with Henrico Humane right now! He was rescued from a hoarding situation that kept poor Clipper chained to a barrel made into a box. He is a friendly guy and gets along with other dogs. He was so happy to get off that chain that all he wanted to do was run around the yard with the other dogs in his foster home. He is a beagle mix about 3-4 years in age - and he is ready for someone to give him a wonderful life that he deserves and definitely no chaining up in this boy's future - in the house with the family and play time outside only.

We recommend and encourage you to complete an application at before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clipper, a Richmond Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
