Lucky #2's Story...

Lucky is an 5-6 year old male Italian Greyhound who gets along great with other dogs.  After only a day he fit right in like he had been around for years.  He is a very happy dog, and loves to lay against your leg in front of the tv.  He curls up in a tiny ball to keep his nose warm.  Lucky has to be at a home with a fenced yard that is at least 4 feet tall since he is a jumper.  Lucky is leash trained and walks very well on walks.  He does well being kenneled with other dogs, and his housetraning skills are very good if kept on a schedule.  He likes attention from kids, but could be too active for really small children.  Lucky has limited eye sight when it is dark or the lighting is dim, so he will need somebody willing to help him out.  Lucky is being fostered in Lincoln, NE.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky #2, a Lincoln Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
