Trooper/Willie/Teddy's Story...

Trooper/Willie/Teddy is roughly a 2 year old male, black and white and very sweet Italian Greyhound who was picked up as a stray in a small town, Burwell, in central NE.  He was given a week for his previous owners to claim him, and nobody came forward.  After nobody came forward he was facing euthanasia, and would have been put down within a day or two maximum.  He is a very smart, friendly, happy dog and he deserved another chance so he came in to our rescue to find a new home.

He was found in town near a business that said he's been running around there for two days or so.  No collar, so no clue, but seems to us that he was dumped there which is why he hung around.

Willie is being fostered, and was adopted to a home in Crete, NE.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trooper/Willie/Teddy, a Lincoln Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
