Amy's Story...

Amy is a beautiful grey and white Italian Greyhound.  She is 5 years of age and has done great with her transition to a foster home.  She came from a home with young children and would be fine with a family with older elementary school aged children.  In her foster home she lives with 3 other Italian Greyhounds and does great.  She is playful and very interactive with the other dogs.  Amy is potty pad trained and is very eager to go outside to potty too. She just needs a potty schedule established to be happy.  She is hesitant of a self waterer, but is getting used to and remembering the bubbling noises that it makes.  She loves to cuddle on the couch under the blanket and loves to sleep in a bed with her people. She is however, compliant to sleep in a kennel at the end of the bed too.  She is a bit underweight but we have been working on gaining some weight with a holistic all natural dog food.  This girl is very beautiful as you can see from her pictures, and has the personality to match her beauty.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amy, a Lincoln Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
