Comet's Story...
Comet is such a cute, sweet, shy girl. What I remember most about her when she was at the La Porte shelter is that she would lean against chain link gate so that you could rub on her. She's gotten shy since then, but I am certain she would warm up quickly and make a great cuddle bug. Comet is about 3 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. She's pretty small. I LOVE her black eyeliner. :)

The dogs are located in Iola, Texas, which is near Navasota and Bryan College Station. If you have any adoption or rescue questions please contact me by email at iolasanctuarydogs@att.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Comet, a Iola Cattle Dog/Carolina Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog/Carolina Dog for sale in Iola, or seeking a Cattle Dog/Carolina Dog dog from a breeder in Iola.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Iola already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Iola breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog/Carolina Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog/Carolina Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Iola paves the way for another one to be saved.
