Rocky's Story...

Rocky came into the shelter as a stray, having been found running loose with a small dog. The owner's family called but never came to claim either dog. Rocky is an older guy, probably around 7, but that does not seem to slow him down any. He loves his walks, is very kind and social, and would surely fit into a home with another mellow dog, but he may not be able to live with a cat. He does have a couple superficial fatty growths on his side. Consider giving this older dog a soft spot for the rest of his life. You won't regret that decision. Rocky is an awesome dog. Our $75 adoption fee ($50 for seniors) includes: spay/neuter, microchip, HWT, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, Strongid deworming, and 2015 Clermont County License. Our hours of operation are Mon/Tues 11:30-4, Wed 11:30-6, Thurs CLOSED, Fri 11:30-6, Sat 10-5, Sun 12-5. Call the shelter at 732-8854 for more details. Support our shelter and save a life by adopting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Batavia Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Batavia, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Batavia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Batavia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Batavia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Batavia paves the way for another one to be saved.
