Tortelli's Story...
Senior dogs are not for everyone. But those special people who adopt them know something not everyone does – that those golden years truly are precious, and getting to share them with one of these ‘classic’ pups is a treasure beyond even the most priceless you’ll find hanging in the Louvre today.

Tortelli specifically is nothing short of awesome! If you’re looking for a classic – you’ll be hard-pressed to find one more filled with character than her! She’s cat-trainable, great with other dogs, and has lived with small children. Tortelli has not gotten the memo that she’s classic – she plays with stuffies, tries to initiate play with her stick-in-the-mud foster sibs, and then huffs at her foster mom to play when the dog option seems exhausted. She does stairs like a champ and chatters when she’s excited (i.e. when she’s getting petted). She’s almost on automatic when it comes to belly rubs – rolling over into a roach to afford her person easier access for a tummy massage.

Tortelli is a low-maintenance girl – she crates like a dream, has experience living in the city so she’s not spooked by loud noises, and walks on lead like she’s taking to the cat-walk (we have a professional walker in this one, folks!). She loves people. Adopters with vision (those who know ‘age ain’t nothin’ but a number’) are getting a truly AMAZING dog in Miss Tortelli.

Could you be her happily ever after? It’s quite possible she could be yours! Apply today to find out for sure!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tortelli, a Spencerville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Spencerville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Spencerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spencerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spencerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spencerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
