  • Hair: Short
Hi there! My name is Hoodie, and by day I am a man-about-town. I love to be outside doing my own thing during the day, but when Mom called “Suppertime!” I would always come running and spend the evenings happily inside where I could be admired and petted. I love to sprawl on the floor and just be close to my person, but at night I always slept with Mom, I lost her recently and miss her dreadfully, but would be thrilled to find someone else to love and pet me. I am a handsome fellow, a DMS with an unusual fur coat. It’s white at the base but black at the tips, so if you ruffle it back it shimmers! I am five years old and weigh 13 pounds. But even though I am a big cat, I am a big softie inside. My housemate Mattie, who is only 8 ½ pounds, could push me around any time she wanted! I would love to find a new forever home, so why don’t you come by the Safe Place for Pets Welcome Center and meet me?

Come Meet Our Pets...

You'll find us out and about at adoption fairs and community events all over Colorado Springs! We have a physical building in Manitou Springs where we are able to bring pets for meetings, and some reside while awaiting their new families. We also create a monthly poster featuring our available pets which are displayed at locations throughout the community - please let us know if you can put our available pets flyer at your workplace. We update our community posters and pet listings monthly. For the most up-to-date info, please visit our website at www.safeplacepets.org

Our Adoption Process...

Please check out our available pets and contact us to let us know which one(s) interest you. We'll arrange a site visit to your home and a meet-and-greet with your prospective pet once we have had a phone chat to determine if our rescue pet is a good fit for you and you for him/her. If you and the pet decide it's true love, we'll have you fill out an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (rather than a fee). A certificate of adoption is mailed to you once the process is complete.
