Blue's Story...
UPDATE: Blue was returned recently because she wasn't getting along with the adopters dog. We are determined to find a great home, with no other pets, for sweet Blue!
Meet Blue! This beautiful girl found herself in a scary situation when she was picked up as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter. He owners were later discovered, and they surrendered her to the shelter to be pulled by a rescue. Blue is a 1 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees/Alaskan Malamute mix. We were told that she can jump fences, which is how she came to be running loose. The girls at Molly’s Mutts also learned that this pretty girl loves squeaky toys, and will even play fetch!! Blue did well when meeting the rescue cats, but doesn't get along well with other dogs.

If you think Blue could be the girl for you, please request an application by emailing Molly’s Mutts Animal Rescue at mollysmuttsanimalrescue@yahoo.com. Adoption fee is $125, which includes vet exam, spay, vaccinations, microchip, and monthly preventatives.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blue, a Dixon Alaskan Malamute/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute/Great Pyrenees for sale in Dixon, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Dixon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dixon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dixon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dixon paves the way for another one to be saved.
