My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MIDNIGHT #3 is a 2 year 3 month old neutered black male Lab who weighs 55 pounds. He is a little shy when he first meets a man he doesn't know, after he meets you he is fine. He likes to be outside to play but is equally happy to be inside being with you. He likes to retrieve but is not a nut about it. He takes treats gently and likes to go for car rides. Midnight had a rough start in life but his life has improved since he came into Lab Rescue he would like a home where he has someone to give him some TLC. Midnight is good with other dogs. No cat history. Knows sit, come down Okay on lead with an easy walk harness. House and crate trained. Doesn't get in trouble when left alone.
Midnight come from the country and has had no exposure to big cities. Placements is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. Midnight is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update:: Midnight-this happy black lab is looking for an active owner or family that likes to run, play ball and of course offer treats. He's a young (2yrs), smart, male lab who is a little shy of newcomers but warms up to you quickly if you have food and gentle words. Please consider making this guy a part of your family

Update:: Midnight is settling in and has met several other dogs and humans. He really enjoys his twice daily ball retrieving sessions in the yard and is bringing the ball back and dropping it near foster mom. He is still unsure of new people and is sometimes cautious around new dogs, especially if his trusted human is not nearby. He would love to have a quiet home with a fenced yard for ball throwing and/or owners who will take long walks or runs with him.

Update:: Midnight is settling in and enjoying his foster's fenced yard. He is learning to retrieve the ball, and he even brings it back and drops it (sometimes). He gets along well with other dogs, is house broken and has been good about leaving counters and trash cans alone. He is still timid around new people and will bark at them until he gets to know them. Men are particularly scary to him, but he's met several nice men who he warmed up to with a liberal application of treats. He loves to ride in the car and does well on a leash. He would love to find a forever home with lots of love to give. He loves to sit next to you (or on you) and be petted for a very long time.
