This little beauty is Callie,  1 year old and all of 42 pounds right now.  She is spayed, and up to date on vaccines and is ready for a forever home.

Callie is an active puppy who enjoys running around like a nut in her backyard with a rope toy and then coming in and taking a nice long nap in the air conditioning.  She is very loyal and stays right next to her human's side, but also loves her crate time.  She feels comfortable in her crate, so we would recommend always having one available to her.  For her safety, she should be crated whenever she is home alone as she is a chewer.  She is completely house-trained and has never had an accident in the house. She's an avid chewer, so the kong extreme toys are the best for her.  She loves to cuddle every chance she can get, but is quite the bed hog.  :)

Callie needs slow introductions, and is not good with other dogs.  We have only seen her play nice with one other dog, and since then she has been very reactive around other dogs.  She is very fearful, so she will need an owner who has patience and can work with her.  She is not good around young children, as she will knock them over and shows distress around them.  She did go through a 7-week obedience training course, where she learned the commands 'Sit', 'Stay', 'Leave It', 'Down', and 'Touch.'  With continued training, we believe she can overcome her fears.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do many events throughout the year with our foster dogs in attendance. Please check our online calendar frequently to see where you can visit us.

Our Adoption Process...

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are $175 for Puppies; $225 for Adults; and, for Senior Dogs it will be determined on a case by case basis.
