Facts about Bruiser

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 9799173-GDP - 032216cai

Bruiser is approximately 4 years old (March 2016), neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, house trained, and uses a dog door. He gets along well with most dogs, especially small dogs but does not tolerate cats.

He is a great adventure partner. He loves to swim and is great to cuddle up with on the couch. He has a laid back personality and would make a great family addition. He has a slight arthritic condition in his lower back and sometimes needs some pain meds when he has a really active day. Joining Bruiser in his new home will be his matching leash, collar, and head halter, food bowl, and his prescription food.

If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!

The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Bruiser is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.

About DFW Rescue Me

About Our Rescue Group...

Our goal is to save dogs at the local shelters in the Dallas \ Fort Worth Metroplex from euthanasia and adopt them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as provide all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Dogs can be met at our adoptions events, at their foster homes, or the boarding facility where they are staying. They can also be met during the home visit.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fee for dogs is $250. We required an adoption application and check both vet references and pet deposits / breed restrictions if they apply. We also do a home check prior to all adoptions.
