Amos's Story...
Please welcome Amos to MAJR!!! Amos is about 7 years old. He still needs to be neutered and brought up to date on his shots but will be available shortly for adoption.
Amos came to us from an Amish farm where he was dumped last winter. Because he was so sweet and got along with the other farm animals and the farmer's children, he was accepted onto the farm. When it was time for Amos to find a new place, the farmer called rescue which speaks highly of Amos' temperament.
Amos is a great dog. He has a moderate to active energy level but he will relax when it's appropriate. He has a great appetite and has already learned his new name and comes when called. Amos is respectful with other dogs and sweet to people. He seems disinterested in cats though it's hard to say since one has not piqued his prey drive.
Amos would make a great dog for just about anyone but he will need a fenced in yard. He is not 100% on the house breaking at this time, but he has not been in a house for several months and he's not neutered yet so this is to be expected. Amos does bark especially when left alone and/or in a crate but he settles down eventually.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amos, a Blue Bell Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Blue Bell, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Blue Bell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Blue Bell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Blue Bell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Blue Bell paves the way for another one to be saved.
