Meet the loveliest big girl, Michelle! Michelle is a stunning mixture of American Bulldog and Lab, is 2 years old and the most awesome mom ever! We first met Michelle and her 4 puppies in a North Georgia high kill shelter. Well of course we couldn’t leave this awesome family to that fate! Michelle and her babies have been living with our awesome foster mom Tracy and now that the little ones are weaned and well on their way to becoming independent, it is Michelle’s opportunity to find the perfect and most loving home possible!! At almost 70 lbs, Michelle would be the perfect dog in a home with a yard (and fence) to run around in. She loves her adventures and has instant curiosity about her world around her. She is fascinated by livestock and it has been amusing to watch her as she processes all that she is seeing. She would love an active family who enjoys hiking, taking long walks, and/or runs … she would be your perfect buddy on those adventures. Michelle needs a family who is willing to take the time to spend training her on some of the obvious things…like leash training. She is good on her leash, but that curiosity sometimes leads her off in different directions. Michelle is super friendly and loves playing with other dogs. She has been great with her puppies and very patient. We aren’t sure about cats yet, but a very slow and controlled introduction would be best. She also does really well in her crate, but it sometimes takes a minute or two to convince her to get in the crate. Michelle is such a sweet and friendly girl! She loves it when strangers tell her how beautiful she is…because, of course she is and her foster mommy won’t let her forget that! Michelle is housetrained, spayed, totally vaccinated and microchipped. She will be heading out on transport on March 30th with arrival in Washington on April 2nd.
