Howdy! My name is Kentucky. I came to PMFAS when someone dumped me off at an old barn that was no longer in use. The people who owned the barn were older, but they had a son who often went down to the barn to make sure everything was going okay. He befriended me and they brought me into the shelter. I don't mind other kitties as long as they are calm like me. I also wouldn't mind sharing my home with a calm dog. I do get a little freaked out by children as I usually only like my had and face scratched and not the rest of my body. I'm about 3 years old and I have a short coat. I'm a big lovable boy looking for my chance at a happy home.

Rourke Yandow is the keeper of the kitty for this special boy!

About Pope Memorial Frontier Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The Pope Memorial Frontier Animals Shelter is primarily a volunteer organization that has been in operation since 1993. In the past the organization was run strictly out of foster homes but now we have a wonderful shelter in
Northern Vermont. Our primary goals are to find
loving, permanent homes for pets and to help control
the pet overpopulation by having all the animals we
adopt out spayed or neutered. We also hold a
once-a-month spay/neuter clinic for cats. We have
had thousands of cats and kittens spayed or neutered
at our clinics.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption hours are on Tuesday and Thursday from 2 - 6, Saturday and Sunday from 12 - 3. . If you are unable to come in during our open hours, please leave your name, phone number and any other information on our voice mail (802-754-2228) and your call will be returned within 24 hours and we will arrange an appoinment time. We love visitors!!! For directions, please give us a call at (802) 754-2228.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters must visit the animals and fill out our
pre-adoption information sheet. Then, if there is a pet that you would like as a member of your family, we recommend that you take 48 hours to give us a chance to go over your information, making sure that your chosen pet is a good match for you, and to give yourself a chance to seriously consider the adoption. We hope that adoptions will be permanent and families must remember that this often means a 12-14 year commitment to the care and loving of your chosen pet. Please log onto our mainpage www.frontieranimalsociety.com for the adoption fee listing.
