Scooter's Story...
Meet Scooter! This 20-month old male, 26 pound, beagle is about as sweet as can be. Scoot was hit by a car in late December 2015 which caused major damage to his both sides of his pelvis. Since this time, he has undergone 3 surgeries to correct the breaks and fractures. Scooter has healed beautifully and has had the best physical therapy in Chicago. He has no problem getting around at all and loves to play with his foster siblings and with toys. Scooter is being fostered in Chicago He also gets along with children and cats. He loves to go for walks and car rides. He does need assistance getting into the car as he can’t quite jump in on his on just yet, but once in, he rides beautifully. He is housetrained and not destructive as he is left uncrated when alone. He sleeps through the night in his own bed and chills out with an antler or toy when not given attention. Scoot is a chill dog and will be a great addition to just about any family!

Applications must be completed at www.befidosfriend.org for adoption consideration. His adoption fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooter, a Chicago Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
