Gracie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, declawed, and not good with kids.

Gracie's Story...
Gracie is a 4.5 year old, declawed cat surrendered to HART (with Joe) after her owner entered an Alzheimer's facility. Gracie was understandably very scared and confused on intake, but has settled in nicely to the foster home.
Gracie is a long-haired black cat with smokey gray highlights. She is petite, only 8+ lbs under all the fur, and is very sweet. She is somewhat timid, and has a tendency to hide under the bed, but just needs more time to settle in. She comes for attention, and loves to be pet. Gracie has a laid back personality. Her hair is so soft and silky, and she doesn't mind being brushed. Gracie and Joe get along very well together. We were told they were both about the same age, not sure if litter mates, but they have been living together for years. We would love to keep them together, if at all possible. Joe and Gracie do not do well in a home with children. An older person or couple would be ideal, as that is what they were used to.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Cincinnati Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
