My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm not Golden Retriever? Are you sure? Here, hold my paw while you look closer...

Hi, my name is Chancellor and I'm told I'm a really good boy. I'm the LBD in my foster home (Little Black Dog) because I'm only about 40 lbs. Some of my favorite things in the whole world are chasing squirrels, playing with my foster sister, keeping the kitchen counters safe from any food that may make them dirty, running around the backyard, and napping.

I'm not sure why, but foster mom and dad love it when I catch a mouse for them! (I'm pretty good at that). In general, I really like to chase anything small and fast. I love belly rubs and attention, but I'm not too clingy. I really enjoy curling up on the couch at night next to my foster mom for some TV time and snuggles and I sleep on my sister's bed at night (my human sister). I just love little kids, just as long as they don't have any little furry creatures, I'd enjoy a home with kids.

Chance will need a secure yard with at least a 5 foot fence. He gets along well with most other dogs and would enjoy a playmate in his new home, but it's not necessary. He is still working on leash manners (because he's always hunting small furry creatures), but he is a very smart dog who, with
patience and consistency, would learn anything you want! He's not very interested in toys, but every once in a while will bat a ball around with his paws. He's really a very low-maintenance, sweet dog (as long as there are no cats, birds, hamsters, etc. in the house).
