Penelope's Story...
Say hello to Penelope!

Penelope came to us as a stray, emaciated and loaded with parasites. But she didn't let that hold her back - she was SO happy to have love and attention! This girl is ready for her family!

Penelope is about 4 years old, 50lbs and completely leash- and crate-trained. She enjoys to run and play, but also enjoys a good snuggle with a person. Penelope gets along with most dogs (She does not appreciate anyone trying to "threaten" her, but the above picture is of her with her temporary foster siblings that she met 1 day ago...so she's good with most dogs) and is generally just a happy, healthy girl.

Penelope has been spayed/microchipped and is current on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a Asheboro Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Asheboro, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Asheboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Asheboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Asheboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Asheboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
