Facts about Molly

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Good Golly Miss Molly! The lovely brown tabby with the beautiful golden eyes has come so far since we first met her! The once scared kitty now regularly greets you by rubbing figure eights around your legs and ankles! She purrs the moment you enter the room and cheerfully tells you about her day. This sweet, friendly gal enjoys her people and loves to being petted and brushed. She will invite you to pet her after carefully sniffing your hand – once your hand passes the sniff test, pet away and don’t forget the ear rubs! Molly loves having her head brushed back and forth with a very soft brush; in fact, she’ll sometimes try to help by pushing her face into the brush!

Molly is very playful – she will run after anything you throw, especially the little mice! Place 5-6 stuffed mice in a pile and then throw them 1 at a time for her to chase and attack – she loves this game! She is an all-star player participating in a great competition, attacking toy mice with great skill and precision! Molly also loves feather wand toys even though she is coy about it – she’ll pretend she isn’t interested and then once she thinks the feather is fooled by her act, she’ll suddenly jump up and launch a surprise attack on the unsuspecting feather!

Molly would be fine with other friendly felines or would do just as well as your one and only feline friend. With her newfound confidence, Molly is more than ready to meet her new family and share all of the love she has to offer with them! To learn more -

About Our Rescue Group...

RESCUE is a registered non-profit volunteer based animal rescue organization located in Maricopa County. RESCUE has no central facility and is volunteer run. Our focus is on the "kill lists." We were founded in 1995, and with the support of our volunteers and our community, we have found homes for over 11,000 dogs and cats. Our motto is for every animal adopted, we are back to rescue another. We depend on the community for our support and offer a variety of satisfying ways for you to get involved in our mission to end the killing of the orphaned dogs and cats. Please consider adopting, volunteering or donating.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter. We are at various special events around the valley. Please see our Upcoming Events section on our website for further information. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to some of our wonderful animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Fill out an online application, have an interview with a Matchmaker, if we are in philosophical alignment, set up a meet and greet and if all goes well finalize the adoption. Our service fee for dogs is $150 and $125 for cats. All our dogs and cats are spayed and neutered prior to adoption.
