Foster Care. Hi everyone, I'm sweet Cleo. I'm a 1 year old spayed female Pit Bull weighing 47 pounds. I am a very gentle, loving girl who can be shy when I first meet people but am always very friendly and it doesn't take long for me to want to play! I love getting outside and enjoying fresh air, and the volunteers here have noted that I have exceptionally good leash manners. I can get along with some dogs but of course should meet any potential canine siblings ahead of time to ensure we'd be a good match. I would do best in a somewhat experienced home with kids ages 12 & up. The shelter's experience and time with me so far tells them that my new adopter and I would benefit greatly from an obedience class. In this case, it is required of my new adopter. Since I'm in foster care, I am not at the shelter, but you can make arrangements to meet me by contacting Anika at email@example.com or 650/340-7022 x374. I look forward to meeting you - ask for Cleo, #A800351 and I'm sure you will fall in love!
Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Our hours are weekdays from 11am-7pm and weekends from 11am-6pm (closed major holidays). Interested adopters must arrive at least 1 hour before close.
We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650/340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor or 650/340-7022 x823 anytime to hear a recording of our available animals (updated each morning). Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
